Nice!!!

You've really improved a lot here, man!
It's really great to suddenly hear some awesome DnB from you!
The effects are great, and the acid sound really gave it a nice touch.
The piano really gave it a finishing touch! :D
You've made a good choice about the instruments, everything really fits.
Anyway, you've got something amazing going on here, keep it up man! :D

Stavier responds:

Haa, thanx! Yeah, I love this genre & I've been inspired enough to make one cuz all the other songs I've heard that are DnB are usually awesome. I'm really glad you liked the FX's cuz I did try addin' a lot of those. Yeah, the piano was like that touching transitional signal. I'm really glad you liked my instrumentation cuz I was like I hope I didn't add to much I'm tryin' to make this not sound jumbled up. Thanx for the review & I'll keep you updated on my next DnB song for sure.

Wish I had a giant subwoofer...

That'd be great with this song.
It was really chill, although I didn't have a massive subwoofer, these headphones do just fine for this song! :D
That sub is sick, I love it, it's extremely trippy.
Anyway, great spacey song, keep it up man, this stuff is nice!

TimmyBlaze responds:

Hey thanks a lot man, I appreciate the feedback, especially positive feedback. My only self critique for my FIRST dubstep song is that the transitions could have been stronger. The vocal breakdown is corny as fuck too but I just needed filler. Thanks again man, and plenty more Timmy Blaze productions coming soon. :D

It's really good! :D

I like it, i just have a few recommendations.
At first you might wanna add a bit of reverb to the vocals, the singing and the ones at the start, otherwise it sounds so plain and dry.
Also, I recommend filling up the song a bit more. It could perhaps use some more closed hihats, and I'd kill for a nice submelody.
And now I listen to it again, the intro synth could also use some reverb, to give it more of an atmosphere.
Another thing is that the bass needs a little more, well, bass! :D
I recommend making it a little more crunchy, EQ it, or just use something else for the bass! :D
Anyway, I really like the song, despite all the criticism. You really did a nice job on the synths and the kicks.
Good job man, keep it up! 5/5

Catcheh

I really like it, it's got some nice catchiness and it's got awesome untzuntz :D
I liked the things you did with the panning here :D
Keep it up, man! ;D

Shoephly responds:

^^,

really glad you enjoyed it :)

hehe, so you noticed? just thought it was a nice touch, and it seems you agree ;D

Thanks for the awesome review, really appreciate it! :D

Wicked!

Perfect game/flash music! :D
I really love the dark atmosphere you've created here, and the heavy machine rythm really sounds perfect with the melodies.
I loved it, 15 awesomepoints :D

Maverlyn responds:

Woot XD

Nice!

Congratulations on the top 30, man!
I'm glad I could find this after hearing a lot of unmastered shitty stuff up in the top :/
I loved the distortion. This might be nice ending up in a video game :D
I also really liked the effects you've put in here.
Great song, keep it up man! :D

Nice!

That's some nice happeh hardcore you've got there. Just some things that could use a little work.
The melodies are pretty much fine, they're all good, but first of all, it could use at least an open hihat between the kicks, and perhaps some closed ones in between all that. It gives it a somewhat fast-paced feeling.
Also, the bass was a bit too sharp. I recommend using more squares in it then saws, it's much easier to listen to. You could also slightly filter it (also with the squares) to reduce the 'annoying' higher frequencies. What also gives it a better sound, is slightly reducing the attack of the bass, so that the notes kinda fade in. If you do this, don't overdo it.
Also, during the breakdown, you could use some more nice hihats to fill up the beats. And I recommend taking another kick, a little softer, so that it will be a nice rest between the choruses.
Also, the second breakdown could use some more variation comparing it to the first. For the second one you could, for example, start it off with a nice impact or crashkick, then filled with a nice soothing piano melody, and then you slowly build up to the chorus. The lenght of the breakdowns was fine, by the way.
Longass review, what a pain, sorry for that :P
Anyway, the songs really nice, you put up a great concept here.
Keep it up!

haxory responds:

Hey man! I REALLY appreciate your review :) I've never had a review that I appreciate as much. This is what I call constructive. I'll keep those factors in mind when making new songs :)

Also, we're both from the netherlands.

I really enjoy your music

I really do, but it's just that you could take a step or two out of your comfort zone. Your instrumentation and song structure are pretty much the same in a lot of songs. Maybe you could try a different bass or lead?
Anyway, you're doing really nice, I love your mixing methods sometimes :D
It just could use some more variation between different songs, or it will get monotonous.
Nice job! Keep it up!

Lithorph responds:

Yes, i know EXACTLY what you mean. I am working on alot of new stuff with new instruments atm. Dont worry :) But this one acually i did use more "New" samples then i use before. Even though they sound similar, i dont use the same bass, and the lead is 4 different leads layered ^^. But ill work on advancing to the next stage.

Awesome-tha-bawesome!

Great beat, nice melodies, and a whole lot of happiness! :D
I wasn't bothered by the repetitiveness at all.
Like omega said, a slight bit of bass wouldn't make it worse, a nice and simple electro-ish bass, or just a simple offbeat one would do. Don't try to make it too loud, smooth and subtle would do fine in this song, because it already sounds rather finished without bass.
Anyway, the song is great, the melodies are really nice, and the happymeter was reaching it's limit.
This will be one for my favourites :D
5/5, DL

Stavier responds:

Wow, thanx you very mcuh. I'm glad I got bored & made this one for one. I'll see what I can do about the bass. I'm tryin' to get more of that upbeat feel & when I'm done with my next Dance song, it's gonna be upbeat to the extreme. Thanx again for reviewin' & favoriting it.

Nice!

Good concept, I like it!
The intro was really good, there's just one thing though.
Theres a soft background melody throughout the rest of the song. In comparison with the other melodies, it's out of tune. It'd be better to fix that. Try getting a steady chord progression, perhaps, like in the intro.
The songs good, keep it up! :D

Stavier responds:

Thanx you very much. I know what you mean & although I'm surprised no one mentioned in the intro anythin' about the pianos being mixed together is bad, I'm ok with that because for some reason, when a song is on NG, it sounds better. That might be the pad so I probably could've changed that. When I make a song anythin' related to electronic like techno, dance, trance, or anythin', I'll use this advice & others words. Thanx again for the review!!!!

I'm an amateur producer that loves melodic music! :D I don't actually give a crap if your mastering is half-assed, as long as it's audible and it's made with some good knowledge of music! :D However, awesome mastering is always a nice extra, right? :D
