Nice!!

Great bass, Nice beat.
You might wanna add something like a higher melody, just to keep it from being repetitive. Other than that, it is a great song!
Great job, keep it up!

td6d responds:

Thanks mate, I've been fiddling around with leads but nothing seemed to work. I might do something with this one day..

Haha, this is awesome!

This is some funny shit man! :D
I'm a big fan of Rise Against, it's really fun to listen to this^^
Good job! 5/5

Thanks! The first person to listen to this song zero bombed because I put it in punk xD

Niiiice! :D
The drop was hard, the wobbles were absolutely perfect :D
I hope you win, so far I find this the best submission to the contest.
The silences you put in here are insanely tense!
YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYA :D
Great great great work!

KroweMusic responds:

YAY! I'm glad you liked the drop! I was worried that it wasn't heavy enough because my mixing skills are shit, so I'm glad you liked it! :D

Thanks for the complements :D

Nice!

Great atmosphere, nice ambiance!
I'd say it's more two-step or garage rather then post-dubstep.
So It'd actually be more like proto-dubstep, but that came a bit after twostep. So it's pre-dubstep? :P
Nevermind, great song, keep it up! :D

SineRider responds:

thanks dude. oh man all those genres are confusing me. I don't even know what to call it. I guess sorta like burial but with more substance

Good concept :]

It's cool how you use the panning in the percussion.
I'm not familiar with making music in this genre, but I recommend to play around with the velocity of the drums a little, so it gets a more natural sound.
Secondly, you should put in some strings, that gives the song a bit more body. And perhaps some higher notes in the strings, not too much, but right now it sounds a bit low frequency.
Also, the bell sounds at 1:15 are just cut off. You could find some church bells or tubular bells, at least so you have a full sound, that isn't cut off like that. You could also give it some reverb, to stretch the sound a bit.
The concept is good, just needs somethink that makes it sound more real and natural. There is a lot of 'smashing around' on the toms, try to make it sound more like an epic rhythmic section.
You could listen to some other songs as an example. One song that I could recommend you is 'Best of Times', a soundtrack for the World of Goo game. From around the middle of the song until the end, there are some epic stormdrums.
Now I'm not telling you to make it absolutely sound like that, but it could work as a nice example. Try messing around with an Equalizer, just to bring various frequencies up or down in the sound of your drums. Some slight reverb would also work fine.
I hope it helped you a bit with this long-ass review :P
Keep it up! :D

snow56767 responds:

I did happen to listen to "Best of Times" and it is one of my favorite songs, I do need to find some tubular bells, I am currently using a synth in place of them and it isn't that great. I do realize, now that you mention it, that the song is very low frequency. I kind of struggle with higher melodies, they don't seem to agree with my ears. Thank you for the great review!!

Awesome sampling

Haha, I recognized the synth from wannabe gansta, that was awesome.
I really liked the way you used the samples, it's pretty cool :D
It really fits, good job :D

trancedatlantic responds:

yeah it was at the top of the dubstep charts when I was digging for samples .330747.

Nice melody

I really like the melodies, they're awesome. It's just that the kick could use some more punch. I recommend EQ'ing it, or choosing another kick :D
Nice work, keep it up! :D

balderdact responds:

thanks for the tips!

Lol, nice

It's a cool loop, I gotta give you that :D
Nice and powerful, nice dual voicing in the melody, I like it :D
Are you gonna make a song outta this? 'Cause it could be something pretty awesome :D

Lithorph responds:

Yeah this is a small section out of a song im working on, but its not panning out as i want it to.

Great!!

Amazingly deep, that's what I want to hear when listening to a house song! :D
Not the crappy 'dirty dutch' you see on youtube, most of those songs are just mixes of crappy home dj's with no producing skill.
Anyway, the song was great, deep and uplifting.
Great mastering, I loved it.
Keep it up! :D

iheartsonyheadphones responds:

Wow! What a pleasure that was to read! Thankyou very much, your support is much appreciated! You have no idea how much of an effect your kin words have on someone like me :3

I Honestly had no idea this would be so popular! I just hope you'll hlp me keep this song's good score and defend it against zero-bombers ): <33

Thanks man, i love hearing reviews like that!

Thanks again, much love,
Dan Roth <3

Awesome!

Really cool lead, I loved that!
The great happy beats gave it a nice happy hardcore/dance feel. The best thing about this song is that it reminds me of a lot of oldschool NG dance, like the older songs that were uploaded to youtube, cornandbeans, dimrain47, etc.
Especially dimrain, he's plain awesome! :D:D
Great feelgood breakdowns, I loved the fx.
Amazing job, keep it up, man! :D

DjClyme responds:

well I'm glad you liked it! i was hoping for a happy Hardcore feel for this song. im glad you liked the lead, cause it took me forever to get it to sound like that, since i made it with 3xOSC. and yeah, dimrain47 is pretty awesome. ;D

anyway, thanks for a great review :)

DJ~CLYME

I'm an amateur producer that loves melodic music! :D I don't actually give a crap if your mastering is half-assed, as long as it's audible and it's made with some good knowledge of music! :D However, awesome mastering is always a nice extra, right? :D
