Love it man, great atmosphere! Really one of your best works!

And I find if a bit hypocrite of SkyeWintrest to say that he advices you to (perhaps) go a bit more funky on the beats with complex time signatures, while on Kor-rune's song, he complains about the time signatures being too complex.
That just had to be said :P

Anyway, great mix, lovely instrumentation and one hell of an atmostphere! My greatest congratulations on your very much deserved second place! :D

Seriously, sometimes I forget how good your are. But oh my god, this track is done so amazingly well, I'm kind of speechless. I mean you've got an amazing transition from the orchestral part to the electronic fusion, the effects you use to build it up in a subtle way, the whole dynamic course in the track, the atmosphere, it's just amazing. Extremely well done, and a big fav and 5/5 from me!

Superdupersexy drums bro! :D
I love how much you're improving, especially your drums. And your synths. And everything. Just that.
And your pianos! Love em! And the difference in dynamics between the chorus and breakdown are just amazing. FINISHZ DIS NAOW! :D

dudethanksman

I am improving then? PHEW thank god. I always try new things when mixing, and I wasn't 100% sure if I was going in the right direction lately.

Will finish.

Pressed a wrong button while writing the review, so I gotta start over. I'll make it quick :P

Awesome work bro! I love the trumpetty lead and the pianos sounded awesomely happy! Oh, and that sound progression is just awesomely perfect!
The bass could use a little less low frequencies and a bit more mid. It brings out the sound a little more. It's just that right now the bass kinda muffles away the clear sound of the rest of the track.
You could also try to sidechain the bass with the kick, or if you already did that, try using it a little more, just to give the kick more room :D
Lastly, the song structure is amazing, the length of the song is great, not too long, and the song itself is really energetic. And the ending is awesome, short, happy and a great hit to end with! :D

Great work bro, love it! :D

Whoop whoop! :D
Time to fav this here as well!

I'm not listening with headphones right now, but I'm assuming it's got a better quality here than on soundcloud. Either way, it still sound crisp as hell!

Or4nges responds:

Have I told you you're gorgeous lately?

Lovely! :D
Crisp as fuck!

I guess that's all, I don't have any criticism, love the percussion, great synths, nice buildup. Just one thing, the happy sine-square-ish lead could be EQ'd a little more in the beginning. But as the distortion comes in, that's not a problem anymore.

Just awesome, really, not much more to say :D
5/5 and a big fav from me! :D

keosni391 responds:

Thanks, appreciate it :D

Nice!
Finally you broke out of that same chord progression! You can already hear more originality! :D
I really like the sidechaining you used at 1:14, great touch.
Not much to say, good mix, the hihats could blend in a little more in my opinion, but I really like the melodies.
Anyway, try to keep up the diverse chord progressions! It really brings out much more choices and originality! :D

SKILLZmakeKILLZ responds:

thank you so much, yeah i really used your advice and it worked out great! thanks!

Sweet shizzle brah! :D

I really like the bluesy chromatics in the intro melody. Gives it a fresh, non-cheesy feel.
The fast progression was a great touch, really nice, sounded original!
Great upbeat track, love the funky dance feel!

I have a feeling that the kick in the breakdown at 0:56 sounds a bit dry, it doesn't really blend a lot with the atmosphere. I felt that in the other breakdowns as well.
Last point of criticism, some of the synths could probably use some sidechaining.

Love the mix, the sidechained sweep sounds nice at the end, great vocal slicing, really nice melodies and great olskool dance feel!
Keep it up man! 5/5 :D

OcularNebula responds:

Sweet!

I usually consider only basses for sidechaining, but what you're suggesting probably makes a lot of sense.

Lots of good points, Thank you!
