Nice!

It doesn't completely sound like the regular DnB, but I really liked it.
The melodies really gave it a kind of hysterical atmosphere, that was pretty awesome :D
Now I'm not an expert of the genre either, I've never even tried the genre, perhaps for later, so I won't have any good useful tips or constructive criticism for you. My apologies for that :D
You really did a good job here, keep it up! :D

Jakesnke17 responds:

yeah, it's definitely not typical DnB...but I look forward to try to create bigger and better songs in this genre.

....at some point in time. :)

Thanks for the review.

Goodgoodgood :D

It was cool, really raw sound, I like that :D
As said below, the kick could use some work. If you want to search for a good way to EQ and compress a kick, I recommend watching a tutorial on youtube.
I learned eq'ing etc. by watching trancecrafters tutorial. It's actually for trance, but the concept about EQ and compression is the same, could be useful :D
The vocals were really cool, I liked them a lot.
I wasn't sure about it, and I thought that hardstyle was always written in fast 3/4 or 4/4 triplets, but that's not always that way, so I like how it differs from the usual :D
5/5 for you, sir. Good job, keep it up!

FrameWork responds:

Hardstyle melodies can be written in time signature, check out DBSTF - Sound of the Thunder. As long as it's a dark or Hard Trance melody then your fine. Thanks for the advice, I'll check it out. I need to learn more of the technical side of things (mastering :S) XD and thanks for the good review. XD

Great

Haha, I loved how after the buildup it just went on with a nice simple saw :D
I liked it, cool breakdowns, nice melodies, good percussion.
Keep it up! :D

Randomman4 responds:

Thanks =D I always enjoy reviews, and I don't get nearly as many as I would like because I WANT critisism

Good concept ;D

This sounds nice, I like it!
I only recommend you to do something about your offbeat bass. It's not very audible, however, it sucks up the rest of the sound. I recommend taking a bass that is a little less smooth, perhaps a square or saw. So try making it not too much of a subbass.
You might have a limiter on the song, that could mean that's the cause of the overwhelming bass, so if that's the case I recommend taking up the ceil and the gain just a little.
The melodies are cool, I really liked it when the other lead kicked in, it's got a good sound :D
Slightly repetitive, however it's a nice and catchy tune.
Keep it up!

Dragonarios responds:

Great review! I dont think the bass will be much of problem, so consider that done. Ill be adding more variety and ofcourse make it longer. Thank you for the help!

Dude, awesome! :D

I keep finding more and more fellow dutchmen here on NG (they're all awesome at music making :D)
But this was truly an intimidating and beastly piece of work :D
Great variety, great sound!
Keep it up :D

weemeee responds:

Thanks for the review man :) Appreciate it!

Well,

I'm not into hardstyle, but I did vote :D
It's really good, the melody could be a bit more complex in my opinion and perhaps there could be a little more bass parts and a little shorter breakdowns, but that's just my humble opinion. :]
But great sound! :D Keep it up!

DJT3chnic responds:

Thanks =)

I loved it

Great atmosphere, soothing, and a certain ambiance.
The sound effects were really cool, just as the chord progressions, beat and synths. The drop effect at 2:48 was awesome :D
And is that a simple pad or vocals that I hear at 3:04?
Nonetheless, great song!
Keep it up :D

DJ-Radster responds:

Thanks for the comment! What you hear at 3:04 is my plugin Nexus that actually has an operatic voice that I can change. Sounds real though doesnt it =)

Will do, i got something new in the works. Keep a look out for it!

I'll be completely honest here.

At first, when I heard the synths, I didn't expect much of it.
To be honest, you could have done way more awesome things with your synths.
But when the beat kicked in, it was great! It has a real professional DnB sound.
And, although it's liquid, I miss a lower frequency, perhaps a subbass? :D
Anyway, good job, keep it up! :D

Jassummisko responds:

I wanted to put in the subbass but I said "hmmm... Ill pass on this one!" and I also wanted it to be really relaxing, no subbass, no BASS!!! But thanks anyways ^_^

Brilliant

I loved it, awesome sound.
Great wobbles, synths, drums, pretty much everything :D
But of course that's what I'd expect from someone like you :D

mr-jazzman responds:

Glad you liked it! ;) Thought I'd get it out here before anyone truly produced the idea so thoroughly as this. ;)

Overall nice, still needs some work though.

The wobble was pretty nice here. I also liked the synths at 0:49.
There is a problem though. It really sounds high pitched. For example, the kick is fairly short and hollow, while it would be better to give it a more punchy sound, to get more of a dubstep feel. The high percussion, too sounds a bit high pitched. Perhaps a slight filter or a simple hihat pattern to replace it would please the listener a lot more. I would recommend a nice punchy kick and a good firm snare (not too loud), to make the song stronger in structure.
I'm not sure if you tried to make it dubstep, but for dubstep it needs to be around 140bpm. After some listening I think yours is about 120. If the structure of the wobbles will be affected by, then I would just leave it at this tempo.
So I would give the kick a good punchy sound, replace the clap with a firm snare (or clap) and filter the high percussion (or replace it with a good hihat pattern).

It would perhaps be nice to put in a main melody, to give it more of a song feeling, but that's up to you, it's not necessairy.
The wobbles and synths/pads are nice, it just could use some work.
Keep it up! :D

RawGreen responds:

Wow! This review is great! I'll get to work and fix it up right away :D!

I'm an amateur producer that loves melodic music! :D I don't actually give a crap if your mastering is half-assed, as long as it's audible and it's made with some good knowledge of music! :D However, awesome mastering is always a nice extra, right? :D
